Three mountaineers lost in the Picos de Europa found dead

As confirmed by the Zamorana Mountain Group, to which belonged two of the dead, were 19, 21 and 46 years.
The three mountaineers from Zamora who had been searching since Monday night at the Picos de Europa Group for Rescue and Mountain Intervention (Greim) in Potes (Cantabria) have been found dead.
The President of the Association, Jose Tomas Santiago Perez, has detailed that the Civil Guard has informed them the death of the three athletes, 19, 21 and 46 years.
According to reports ‘El Norte de Castilla’, the bodies have been located shortly before 18 hours on Tuesday in an area of difficult access. However, the recovery of the remains has been postponed until Wednesday due to bad weather conditions, which prevent the helicopter from flying Greim. The mountaineers climbed in the area known as the ‘Jisu Spur’, where they were found since last Saturday.
Desolation in Zamora
One of the deceased is the ex-president of the group of Mafia Zamorana, Fernando Casquero, 46, who made the route with two young men of 19 and 21 years, who despite their age had been in this entity for years and also had experience in mountain and climbing.
President José Tomás Santiago Pérez has indicated that although Fernando Casquero was a prudent mountaineer and «fully aware of where he was» there is always minimal risk on a mountain route. «The risk is there but they were developing what he liked» , Added the head of the group Montanera Zamorana, who has shown the «desolation» of all members because of the misfortune.
The most experienced mountaineer had been president of the group between 1996 and 2000, while the other two had had «a fantastic progression» as mountaineers of the group, has detailed Santiago Perez, who has blamed what happened to «bad luck «.
