Several suspects arrested in Spain over attacks in Brussels
BARCELONA, SPAIN – At least eight suspected jihadists were detained this morning in Barcelona, including four suspected of involvement in the attacks in Brussels in March 2016, resulting in 35 deaths and 340 injuries , The Spanish security forces reported today.

As confirmed by Efe sources close to the investigation, some of those arrested are attributed some kind of relationship with those arrested in the attacks last March in Belgium.
Speaking to Catalan television channel TV3, the head of the «Mossos d’Esquadra», Josep Lluís Trapero, said that the «possible linkage» of four of the detainees with the attacks of 22 March 2016 in The metro and Brussels airport.
Trapero detailed that the detainees are all residents of Catalonia of Moroccan origin and are between 31 and 39 years old, some of them with a history of cases of common crime and drug trafficking.
In the operation, still open, are intervening, together with the Catalan agents, the antiterrorist services of the National Police and the Belgian Federal Police.
