«I’m dead»: They find a time capsule in the USA with a message of a ‘ghost boy’
Recent excavations at former Montgomery Elementary School in Albuquerque (New Mexico, USA) have uncovered an unexpected reminder of the past. An old bottle of milk has come up, holding about 25 messages from primary school students for future readers. Most of the children told details about their family and hobbies, but one of them left a disturbing message that begins in a disturbing way: «I am dead.»
The author of the text was called Greg Lee Youngman and was a pupil of Montgomery Elementary, which was built in 1955 and finally converted into a fine arts complex in 1982, reports the Albuquerque Journal. «I’m dead.I go to Montgomery school. It’s the old school name.I was born in 1900,» said little Greg, who at the time was 10 years old. Although the message does not include the date, it is believed that it is not as old as the author intended to make believe, but written in 1968, as well as two others found in the same bottle of milk.
«My favorite subject is to scare the police, I play the guitar, and if you do not know what that is, it’s a string board,» Youngman said of his hobbies. The message ends with the following farewell words: «See you later, savages.»
However, according to Brad Clement, author of another letter found in the same bottle – now 59 years old – in 1968 the elementary school students wrote messages to bury them in time capsules under newly planted trees. End of the riddle?
