A man has been arrested on Thursday in Antwerp after he has rushed into a crowded shopping street in the city, according to Mayor Bart De Wever. The vehicle, with French registration, entered at about eleven o’clock in the morning on Meir Street, where the passers-by managed to avoid it. The vehicle continued its march until it was intercepted in the parking lot of Quai Saint-Michelle, according to the newspaper Le Soir, adding that there were guns in the car. The police have refused to give more details.
